(\"Northern Shield\" or the \"Company\") (TSXV: NRN) is pleased to provide an update on the Root & Cellar Gold-Silver Property (the \"Property\") in\n \n Newfoundland\n \n . The Company can earn a 100% interest in the Property which is being explored for epithermal gold-silver mineralization.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n The Company has increased the size of Root & Cellar Gold-Silver Property through staking from 30 square kilometres (when it acquired an option on the Property in 2019) to over 224 square kilometres (Figure 1), spread over three claim blocks. Approximately 50% of the total claims are owned 100% by Northern Shield, the remainder are subject to the Root & Cellar Option Agreement\n \n (press release\n \n May 19, 2020\n \n )\n \n . In total, the claims cover a 30 kilometre strike-length of a district scale structure that hosts the Drop Zone with up to\n \n 45 g/t Au and 1,360 g/t Ag,\n \n (\n \n see press release\n \n May 21, 2019\n \n \n \n )\n \n , the recently discovered Windfall Zone  with up to\n \n 17 g/t Au and 53 g/t Ag,\n \n \n (see press release\n \n January 30, 2021\n \n \n \n )\n \n and the Braxton-Bradley Showing\n \n \n with up to\n \n 2.3 g/t Au and 137 g/t Ag, 1.9% Zn and 1.7% Cu (\n \n \n see press release\n \n May 21, 2019\n \n \n \n )\n \n .
