(\"Northern Shield\" or the \"Company\") [TSX-V: NRN] is very pleased to provide an update on exploration activities on the Company's Huckleberry property in the Labrador Trough. The programs were executed under the terms of the Option Agreement with South32 announced on June 7th, 2016.\n\nThe first two phases of sampling and mapping have been completed at Huckleberry along with an airborne VTEM (Versatile Time Domain Electromagnetic) survey. Sixty two of the samples collected during the first phase assayed between 0.3% Cu and 1.5% Cu including 15 greater than 1% Cu. Fifty-one samples assayed between 0.3 and 0.9 g/t PGE+Au. The results continue to highlight the Western Copper Zone as the prime area of interest, while also enhancing our understanding of the mineralization at the Eastern Copper Zone, which is more extensive than first thought.
