Significant Light Rare Earth Enrichment Results Received at Nexcel's Lac Ducharme REE Project in Quebec

news images

Vancouver, British Columbia--(Newsfile Corp. - October 14, 2025) - Nexcel Metals Corp. (CSE: NEXX) (OTCQB: NXXCF) (FSE: 2OH) ("Nexcel" or the "Company") is pleased to announce summer 2025 sampling confirms significant light rare earth element (LREE) enrichment, with up to 0.169% La, 0.323% Ce and 0.1565% Nd at the Lac Ducharme REE Project, located in Manicouagan, Quebec.

Hugh Rogers, CEO of Nexcel, states, "The results from this program at Lac Ducharme are very encouraging and demonstrate the project's potential, especially for these REE elements that are critical to emerging technologies and clean energy applications. We look forward to advancing Lac Ducharme with further exploration."

This program consisted of the collection of 107 rock samples (backpack drill hole, channel and grab) across prospective pegmatites, granites and gneisses. The field crew completed a total of 18 backpack drill holes, with total production of 16.61m, and 30 channels were cut over 43.15m. Assays indicate notable enrichment in light rare earth elements (LREE's).

Sample Highlights

  • Total LREE values range from 20.2 to 6802ppm.

  • The average grade for LREE's from this program is 1348ppm.

  • Every sample in Channels CD25-12 and CD25-21 returned greater than 3000ppm total LREE's:

    • Total LREE values in Channel CD25-12 ranged from 3692-6656.5ppm.

      • Sample 146224 in CD25-12 returned notable values of 3070ppm Ce, 1520ppm La, 1565ppm Nd, with 6656.5ppm total LREE's.

      • Sample 146225 returned notable values of 3080ppm Ce, 1530ppm La, 1180ppm Nd, with 6280ppm total LREE's.

    • Total LREE values in Channel CD25-21 ranged from 3072.9-6802ppm.

      • Sample 146250 in CD25-21 returned notable values of 3230ppm Ce, 1690ppm La, 1305ppm Nd with 68002ppm total LREE's.

This program targeted zones identified through prior work; a 50.2-line-km ground magnetic survey, a 2022 radiometric survey, and prospecting programs in 2021 and 2024, building on those results. Priority targets now developed include the Lucia and 13-TC showings, as well as the recently defined EFU Showing.

Technical Information

Samples were collected in accordance with industry best practices. An RS-120 Scintillometer was used to detect radiometric anomalies. Channel samples were cut from bedrock using a diamond saw and then extracted from bedrock using a hammer and chisel. Backpack Drill samples were extracted from bedrock using a Shaw Backpack Drill. Grab samples were either extracted from bedrock using GeoTul hammers or by hammer and chisel. Sample material was then placed into clear plastic bags along with a unique sample tag identifier, the bags were sealed in the field. All sample data was recorded in the field and location data recorded using a handheld GPS. Assay tag numbers were also written on the outside of the bags.

Samples were securely delivered to ALS Geochemistry in Sudbury, Ontario for preparation and subsequently sent to ALS Geochemistry in Vancouver, BC for ME-MS71L Super Trace REE + Refractory mineral extracted using bifluoride decomposition with ICP-MS finish. ALS conducted an internal QA/QC regimen alongside the sample assays. ALS facilities conform to the requirements of the ISO/IEC 17025 Standard and regularly take part in proficiency testing.
