With data\nservices accounting for 14 percent of Verizon Wireless' revenue from its\nnearly 57 million customers in the third quarter of 2006, Nortel's support\nwill be instrumental as Verizon Wireless builds upon its lead in network\nquality and reach in the U.S.\n\n\n\"The popularity of Internet services like user-generated videos, online\ngaming, music and video is driving an explosion in bandwidth demand,\" said\nRichard Lowe, president, Mobility and Converged Core Networks, Nortel.\n\"Consumers expect more from their mobile devices than voice communication and\ntext-messaging.
