[{"type":"text","content":"\n Metals Exploration PLC\n13 March 2008\n\n13 March 2008\n\n\n\n Metals Exploration PLC\n\n Runruno - Cripple Creek analogy confirmed\n\nMetals Exploration PLC (AIM: MTL) ('Metals Ex' or 'the Company'), the natural\nresources exploration and development company with assets in the Pacific Rim\nregion, is pleased to report on the results of an investigation of the\nmineralisation and host rocks at its 100% controlled Runruno gold-molybdenum\ndeposit in the Philippines by Dr. Eric Jensen PhD, a recognised expert on\nalkaline intrusive-associated gold mineralisation, especially Cripple Creek\nstyle deposits.\n\n\n\nHIGHLIGHTS:\n\n\n\nKey conclusions of Dr. Eric Jensen's report:\n\n\n\n• 'In short, the Runruno gold deposit is remarkable in terms of its\nshared characteristics with other alkaline epithermal deposits, including\nCripple Creek, Colorado, and its additional potential as MTL's exploration\nactivities continue and expand.'\n\n\n\n• 'Significant potential for additional discoveries of mineralisation\nseems obvious.'\n\n\n\nThe Company previously identified potential similarities between its Runruno\ngold-molybdenum deposit in the Philippines and the Cripple Creek deposit in\nColorado in its Annual Report and Accounts dated 30 September 2006. To explore\nthis potential analogy, the Company commissioned Dr. Eric Jensen PhD, a world\nrenowned expert on alkaline intrusive-associated gold mineralisation, especially\nCripple Creek style deposits, to undertake an investigation of the Runruno\nmineralisation and its host rocks. Dr. Jensen visited Runruno between 7th -\n15th February 2008.\n\n\n\nThe following paragraphs are extracts taken from Dr. Jensen's report to the\nCompany following his visit:\n\n\n\n- 'In short, the Runruno gold deposit is remarkable in terms of its shared\ncharacteristics with other alkaline epithermal deposits, including Cripple\nCreek, Colorado, and its additional potential as MTL's exploration activities\ncontinue and expand.'\n\n- 'Significant potential for additional discoveries of mineralization seems\nobvious, as multiple zones of alteration have yet to be evaluated, several areas\nof current small-scale mining activities have not yet been drill tested,\ndrilling has not been conducted at depths greater than 180 meters in most areas,\nand the 'feeder zones' for the flat-lying zones of mineraliza...
