Logan Resources provides update on Redford iron ore/gold project on Pacific west coast of Vancouver Island

(TSXV:LGR) today announced\nan exploration program on its 100%-owned Redford iron ore/gold property\n(British Columbia) and confirms preparations for the upcoming field season in\nthe Yukon.\n\n\nThe Redford property hosts the Brynnor Iron (magnetite) deposit, located\n15 km east of Ucluelet on the Pacific west coast of Vancouver Island, BC. It\nis situated 12 km (7.5 miles) from tidewater which can be accessed directly\nvia an existing, well maintained 2-lane road.\n\n\nTwo distinct ore bodies have been identified to date on the property. The\nsmaller, near surface ore body was open pit mined by Noranda Exploration Ltd.\nfrom 1962 to 1967. During that period a total of 3.0 million tonnes of iron\nconcentrate containing an average of 63.8% iron was recovered from\n4.48 million tonnes of ore mined. The second ore body, located east of the old\npit, was outlined by diamond drilling and underground development. No reserves\nfor the east ore body have been documented in public records; however they\nlikely contain a grade comparable to the deposit mined at the open pit (BC\nMinistry of Energy, Mines & Petroleum Resources; Minfile Report 092F 001).\nLogan Resources is currently assessing the economic potential of this\nresource.\n\n\nThe Company is in the process of conducting a reconnaissance soil survey\nover the entire Redford property (432 claim units, 10,800 hectares). This is\nthe first time a soil survey of this magnitude has been performed on the\nproperty, and will enable Logan to target areas for further investigation. The\ncurrent program will also include prospecting and sampling of some of the\nhistoric showings on the property. These include the Fact showing, where a\ngrab sample returned values of 14.26 g/t gold, 13.7 g/t silver, 1.6% copper,\nand 35.3% iron (BC Ministry of Energy, Mines & Petroleum Resources -\nAssessment Report No.14704).\n\n\nUpon completion of the exploration program on Redford, Logan Resources\nwill begin field operations to evaluate its other projects in the Yukon and\nnorthern British Columbia.\n\n\nPeter T.
