[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\nVANCOUVER, Nov. 9 /CNW/ - Logan Resources Ltd. (TSXV:LGR) today announced\nthe results of the 2007 summer exploration and diamond drill program at its\n100%-owned Heidi gold project in the Dawson and Mayo Mining Districts, Yukon\nTerritory. The drill program successfully intersected gold mineralization in\n14 of the 19 holes over a 1 km strike and the airborne geophysical program\noutlined significant new targets for the next phase of drilling. The extent of\nthe horizons of alteration and mineralization intersected in both the 2006 and\n2007 drill holes confirms the validity of the target indicated by geology,\nsurface trenching and geophysical surveys. Continued diamond drilling is\nwarranted from these encouraging results. The Heidi property has been expanded\nfrom 54 claims (1,000 hectares) to 220 claims (4,074 hectares) to secure\nadditional ground covering promising new gold targets. The property is located\n95 km northeast of Dawson City and 30 km east of the Dempster Highway.\n\n\nMineralization observed on the Heidi property to date consists of\nstratabound gold-bearing pyrite-arsenopyrite replacement zones in carbonate\nrich horizons and related quartz-sulphide breccia veins within the sedimentary\nstratigraphy. This sequence is peripheral to a buried intrusion similar to\nScheelite Dome, Yukon Territory. The intrusion itself has potential to host\nbulk tonnage gold mineralization similar to the Fort Knox deposit in Alaska.\n\n\nThe 2007 diamond drill program was designed to test priority targets over\nextensive coincident induced polarization, magnetic and gold geochemical\nanomalies. The geological goal is the stratabound, silica-altered,\ngold-bearing pyrite-arsenopyrite vein-breccia horizon peripheral to the buried\nintrusive. This exploratory drilling program consisted of 19 holes totaling\n2,685.88 metres (8,812 feet); fourteen holes intersected narrow zones of gold\nmineralization within the northern portion of the buried intrusion associated\nwith stratabound silica alteration zones within the sedimentary country rocks\nabove the intrusion. Gold assay results from the nine more significant 2007\ndrill intersections within these mineralized alteration horizons, follow at\nthe end of the news release.\n\n\nGeophysical interpretation of the 2007 airborne magnetic and radiometric\nsurveys outlined a buried ...
