(TSXV: LGR) ("Logan") is\npleased to announce that Mr. James Stewart and Mr. Shaun Maskerine have been\nappointed to Logan's Board of Directors. Mr. Stewart has also been appointed\nPresident of Logan, while Mr. Maskerine has been appointed as its Chief\nExecutive Officer. In order to facilitate these appointments, Mr. Seamus Young\nhas resigned as Logan's President and Chief Executive Officer and Ms. Judith\nMazvihwa has agreed to resign as a director. Mr. Young has been appointed as\nChairman of the Board of Directors of Logan and will continue to be involved\nin Logan's exploration activities.\n\n\nMr. Stewart is an accomplished lawyer who has practiced law in both\nprivate practice and as corporate counsel since 1984. He has extensive\nexperience in the fields of mining, corporate finance and securities law. Mr.\nStewart has served as a director or senior officer for numerous public\ncompanies in addition to being involved in mineral exploration and development\nprojects throughout North, Central and South America, Africa and Australia.\n\n\nMr. Maskerine has considerable experience in the structuring and\nadministration of public resource companies. He has been involved in venture\ncapital and public companies for over 12 years and in that time has held a\nnumber of senior management and board positions. Mr. Maskerine is a director\nof Waratah Coal Inc., an Australian coal exploration company and was most\nrecently Vice President, Investment Banking at a Vancouver based natural\nresource group.\n\n\nMr. Young has been President and CEO of Logan since 1992 and since that\ntime has assembled an excellent portfolio of highly prospective mineral\nresources properties throughout Canada. Mr. Stewart and Mr. Maskerine are\nexcited about the potential of these projects and both look forward to working\nwith Mr. Young to move them forward. In the short to medium term, Logan will\nfocus its efforts on further exploration and development of its Brynnor Iron\nDeposit on Vancouver Island.
