Prior to joining Humacyte, he served as Senior Vice President, Corporate Development and Alliance Management at Clearside Biomedical, Inc. and Founder and Vice President of Corporate Development at Vidara Therapeutics. Mr. McElheny has led a number of high-value licensing and merger and acquisition transactions, such as the $660 million sale of Vidara Therapeutics, and over $250 million in out-licensing transactions at Clearside Biomedical.
