(NASDAQ: HST), the nation's largest lodging real estate investment trust (the \"Company\"), today announced the appointment of Herman E. Bulls to the Company’s Board of Directors. With the addition of Mr. Bulls, the Company’s Board will have nine directors, seven of whom are independent. Mr. Bulls was elected to serve on the Board of Directors until the next annual meeting of stockholders of the Company and was also appointed to the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee. Mr. Bulls brings more than 30 years of real estate, marketing and operations expertise to the Board of Directors. He currently serves as vice chairman, Americas, as well as an international director at Jones Lang LaSalle (“JLL”). In addition, he was the founder of JLL's Public Institutions Business Unit, which specializes in delivering comprehensive real estate solutions to federal, state and local governments, economic development and nonprofit organizations, and higher education institutions. He also previously co-founded and served as president and CEO of Bulls Capital Partners, a Fannie Mae multi-family financing company, and founded Bulls Advisory Group, LLC, a management and real estate advisory firm.
