James Smith, currently Non-Executive Director of Helium One, is to be appointed as Chairman with immediate effect.\nJames is an experienced Director with over 35 years of experience in the natural resources sector. He has extensive expertise in the oil and gas industry having held a number of senior positions at Chevron Corporation, PanOcean Energy and also VP Exploration at Tanzanian focussed Orca Exploration. James has been a member of the Board of Helium One since listing in December 2020.\nDuring Ian's tenure as Chairman, he has overseen a period of significant achievement, from the Company's successful listing on AIM to the maiden drilling programme at Rukwa, as well as guiding the Company ahead of their second drilling campaign in Rukwa in September. \nIan Stalker, current Chairman of Helium One, commented:\n\"Whilst there is never a good time to step down as Chairman, I do so in the knowledge that the Company in in excellent health.
