Greenland Government Grants Exploitation Licence
GreenRoc Strategic Materials Plc has received an Exploitation Licence from the Government of Greenland for its Amitsoq Graphite Project, a significant milestone for the company's wholly owned subsidiary, Greenland Graphite a/s. This 30-year permit, granted after a swift 1 year and 3 months process, allows for graphite extraction at Piiaaffik Amitsoq, a deposit with proven ore for decades of operation and a JORC Resource of 23.05 million tonnes at 20.41% graphite. The company is now preparing for Environmental and Social Impact Assessments, with a deadline of December 31, 2028, to submit a mining and decommissioning plan and a commencement of mining activities by December 31, 2030, unless otherwise approved.
