Focus Graphite's Recently Purified Material Selected for Compression Molded Rocket Nozzle

About this update from Focus Graphite Inc.

[{"type":"text","content":"Focus Graphite's Recently Purified Material Selected for Compression Molded Rocket Nozzle\n\n\n (TheNewswire)\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n Purified material will also be used in Advanced\nBattery and Specialty Applications to fulfill\n \n\n\n\n\n\n current and future projects.\n \n\n\n\n May 15, 2025 –\n \n\n TheNewswire -\n \n\n Ottawa, ON – Focus Graphite Advanced\nMaterials Inc. (TSX.V: FMS | OTCQB: FCSMF | FSE: FKC)\n \n\n (“\n \n\n Focus\n \n\n ” or the “\n \n\n Company\n \n\n ”),\n \n\n is proud to\nannounce that its high-purity graphite material, processed and further\npurified through our strategic partner\n \n\n American Energy Technologies Co.\n(AETC)\n \n\n , is now being advanced for specialty\napplications within the advanced downstream application\nsectors—including use in a compression molded rocket\nnozzle scheduled for flight testing on the Dash Block 1 sounding\nrocket, developed by\n \n\n Pluto\nAerospace Inc.\n \n\n\n\n The processed graphite originates from the Lac Knife\nResource in Quebec, Canada. At AETC’s modern fully equipped\nindustrial graphite and carbon processing facility in Wheeling, IL,\ngraphite-bearing ore from Lac Knife underwent initial concentration\nand advanced purification. From this material, coarse flake graphite\nof various mesh sizes (+16 through +325) was recovered and thermally\npurified, positioning it for transformation into a variety of products\nfor specialized downstream applications.\n \n\n\n\n One of the most compelling demonstrations of this\ngraphite’s capabilities is its selection for the manufacture\nof ablative rocket nozzle inserts, crucial components capable of\nwithstanding temperatures exceeding 3,000°C, Mach 6 speeds,\nand forces up to 150G. The use of both natural flake and synthetic\ngraphite in the nozzle ensures durability, heat resistance, and\nablation control—making it ideal for aerospace-grade propulsion\nsystems. Graphite is the preferred material in these contexts due to\nits thermal stability, low density, and excellent erosion resistance\nunder extreme conditions.\n \n\n\n\n The Dash Block 1 rocket test flight is tentatively\nscheduled for August 2025 in New Mexico. As part of this mission,\n...
