JV Partner withdrawal from Lithium Projects

Firering Strategic Minerals plc (AIM: FRG) announced that JV partner Ricca Resources Limited withdrew from the earn-in agreement for the Atex and Alliance Lithium-Tantalum Projects in Côte d'Ivoire. This leaves Firering with full control of 90% of Atex and 51% of Alliance. Firering retains its approximately 10.6% equity interest in Ricca and is seeking to recover funds advanced to the Projects. The company is evaluating opportunities to maximize the value of the Atex and Alliance Projects, and proceeds from any recovery will be used to accelerate development of its Limeco quicklime operation in Zambia, where it aims for a daily output of 600-800 tonnes.
