About this update from Firering Strategic Minerals Plc

[{"type":"text","content":"\n \n\n\n\nFRANKFURT, August 13 /PRNewswire/ -- \nIn the news release, \"Fraport Traffic Figures - July 2008: Strike Affects \nPassenger Figures and Aircraft Movements\" issued on 13 Aug 2008 06:00 GMT, \nby Fraport AG DAX:FRA over PR Newswire, we are advised by a representative \nof the company that two words were missed from the table with the header \n'Fraport Group - Traffic Figures for July 2008' as incorrectly transmitted \nby PR Newswire.\n\nAn additional table has also been added to the release, with the header \n'Frankfurt Airport's Traffic Figures - July 2008'.\n\nComplete, corrected release follows:\n \n\n\n Frankfurt Airport (FRA) served 5,067,108 passengers in July\n2008, down 2.4 percent compared to the strong July in 2007. Airfreight\nthroughput also slipped by one percent last month to 172,529 metric tons.\nHowever, since the beginning of the year both passenger traffic and\nairfreight tonnage have continued to grow noticeably by strong rates of 1.4\npercent and 3.1 percent, respectively, compared to the previous year.\n\n\n\n The drop in passenger figures can be attributed to the\nweakening business environment as well as the strike within the Lufthansa\nGroup, without which the decline would have been about 0.4 percentage points\nsmaller. Flight cancellations by Lufthansa, CityLine and Eurowings primarily\naffected domestic traffic - leading to an unexpectedly strong slide of well\nover 10 percent. Intercontinental traffic continued to be the only growth\nmarket (up 0.9 percent). Increasing 29.5 percent, South America remained at\nthe crest of the growth wave.\n\n\n\n Airfreight also declined for the first time this year. The\nmain reason for this was the general economic conditions. Furthermore, the\nstrong euro exchange rate curbed demand for goods from Europe.\n\n\n\n Airmail tonnage slipped by 3.6 percent to 7,159 metric tons in\nJuly 2008, and aircraft movements dropped by 2.2 percent to 42,728 takeoffs\nand landings. In addition to approximately 500 strike-related flight\ncancellations, this was primarily due to regular cancellations and reductions\nin domestic services planned during the summer holiday period.\n\n\n\n In contrast, accumulated maximum takeoff weights (MTOWs)\nachieved a new July record at FRA. With 2,502,691 metric tons, MTOWs rose by\n0.1 percent year-on-year and exceeded the previous Ju...
