(\"HLS\") for an aggregate purchase price of up to\n \n US$45.75 million\n \n , comprised of a\n \n US$13.25 million\n \n upfront payment and up to\n \n US$32.5 million\n \n in performance-based outbound milestone payments.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Xenpozyme is the only product developed and approved for the treatment of non-central nervous system manifestations of acid sphingomyelinase deficiency (\"ASMD\"), also known as Niemann-Pick disease, in pediatric and adult patients. Xenpozyme was approved in\n \n Japan\n \n in\n \n March 2022\n \n , by the European Commission in\n \n June 2022\n \n , and by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in\n \n August 2022\n \n .
