Cohen & Co. plc (the 'Company') announces the appointment to the board of\nthe Company of the following two directors:\n\n\nCharles David Owen Jillings, aged 46 and resident in the UK, is a\nnon-executive director of a number of public companies including Hemscott PLC.\nCharles is currently employed by The Analysis & Research Company Ltd. He holds\na Bachelor of Commerce Degree and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in South\nAfrica.\n\n\nOver the past six years Charles has gained extensive experience in smaller\ncompany investment through his directorships and investment, prior to which he\nwas a director of Hill Samuel Bank Limited in London, where he had worked for\nten years in corporate finance until 1995.\n\n\nDavid Thomas Weir, aged 54 and resident in the UK, is a non-executive director\nof a number of public companies including Dee Valley Group PLC. David is a\nFellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and Institute of Directors\nand a member of the Institute of Waste Management.\n\n\nDavid was Chief Executive of Caird Group plc for six years to 1999, prior to\nwhich he was employed by Cleanaway Ltd as Managing Director of Waste Services\nand as a Finance Director.\n\n\nThe appointments are effective as of today's date.\n\n\nNonferral Recyclers Limited\n\n\nNonferral Recyclers Limited and approximately half of its subsidiaries and\nassociated companies, have been placed in administration and/or receivership.\nAs the policy of the Directors since July 2001 has been that all transactions\nwith related or associated parties should be secured or insured this is not\nexpected to impact on the Group in a significant manner nor jeopardize the\nongoing businesses of the Group.\n\n\nThe Company wishes to advise that it has undertaken, on a principal or agency\nbasis, with its former subsidiary and associated company, Nonferral Recyclers\nLimited, and its subsidiaries (the 'Nonferral Recyclers Group'), in the normal\ncourse of business, transactions for in excess of £1 million in the period to\nNovember 2001 representing between 15 per cent. and 20 per cent. of the\ntransactions of the Company and its subsidiaries (the 'Group') as measured by\nturnover.\n\n\nThe material transa...
