[{"type":"text","content":"Exploration License Applications Approved in Pyhasalmi Copper-Zinc District, Finland for Avrupa Minerals/AFOy Joint Venture\n \n \n (TheNewswire)\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Tukes (Finland’s mineral\nexploration licensing authority) approved the Kangasjärvi\napplication, and following no appeals during the 37-day comment\nperiod, the exploration license is fully in force.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Tukes also approved the Kolima\napplication, but three appeals which must be reviewed before an\nexploration license can be granted were filed.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n The JV will now fulfill annual\nfinancial obligations to landowners within the Kangasjärvi license\narea and continue planning for exploration activities, including\ndrilling during Q2 2023.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n Vancouver, BC – May 11, 2023 –\n \n \n Avrupa Minerals Ltd.\n(TSXV:AVU)\n \n \n is pleased to report on the status of\ntwo exploration license applications covering copper-zinc massive\nsulfide targets in the Pyhäsalmi Mining District of central Finland.\n The two applications, Kangasjärvi and Kolima, submitted by Akkerman\nFinland Oy (“AFOy”), Avrupa’s exploration partner in Finland,\nwere approved by Tukes on March 23, 2023, and have now gone through a\n37-day comment and appeal period.\n \n \n \n \n The Eastern Finland Administrative Court informed AFOy\nthat no appeals against the Kangasjärvi application were received,\nand the Court issued a certificate to this effect, meaning that the\nKangasjärvi Exploration License, ML2022:0045, is now valid.  AFOy\nhas started to fulfill obligations related to the issuance of the new\nlicense, including payment of the annual fees directly to the\nlandowners within the permit area, as well as planning the next phase\nof exploration.  AFOy and Avrupa plan to initiate drill testing of a\npromising deep EM anomaly adjacent to the historic Kangasjärvi zinc\nmine, along with continued review and compilation of substantial\namounts of historic geological and drilling data from around the\nlicense area.  Details of this initial campaign and expected timing\nwill be reported as plans are readied.\n \n \n \n \n More detailed background information about the\nK...
