In this role, Mr. Schink will be responsible\nfor providing direction for the corporation's exploration and development\nactivities and strategy.\n\n\nMr. Schink brings to Berens over 25 years of exploration and business\nexperience in the oil and gas industry. Mr. Schink most recently held the\nposition of President and CEO of Berland Exploration up until January, 2006,\nat which time Berens acquired the company. Prior to that, he held several\nsenior management positions at Burlington Canada and Canadian Hunter\nExploration where he led their exploration programs in the Central Alberta\nregion. Mr. Schink is not only well known in the business as a successful oil\nand gas explorer but brings his specific experience in the Deep Basin and\nPembina areas to Berens.\n\n\nAbout Berens\n\n\nBerens is a Calgary based publicly traded Canadian energy company\ninvolved in the exploration, development and production of natural gas and\ncrude oil in western Canada.
