[{"type":"text","content":"Trenching Underway to Test High Grade Gold Targets at Andong Meas\n \n \n (TheNewswire)\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n GRANDE PRAIRIE, ALBERTA –\n \n \n TheNewswire -\n \n \n (February 9, 2023): Angkor Resources Corp.\n(TSXV:ANK\n \n \n ); (\n \n \n OTC:ANKOF) (“Angkor” or the\n“Company”)\n \n \n announces its trenching program\non selected targets at Wild Boar prospect of the Andong Meas\nconcession.\n \n \n \n \n Previously, flat lying\n \n \n quartz\n \n \n vein\n \n \n s\n \n \n float\n \n \n were discovered to a depth of 1.0\nmeters within this Induced Polarization (IP) anomaly which grade up to\n25.16 gpt Au (grams per tonne of gold).  I\n \n \n nitial assays from the Wild Boar prospect expanded the\nnear-surface gold anomaly to 1.5 by 1.2 kilometres with up to 25.6 gpt\nAu from assayed vein samples on the 100%-owned Andong Meas\nlicense.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n A sample of rock mineral extracted\nfrom the Wild Boar trench site\n \n \n \n \n The mineralization appeared in clusters with the best\ncluster consisting of 7 adjacent samples ranging from 5.6 gpt Au up to\n25.6 gpt Au over a width of about 12 meters.\n \n \n The quartz vein float pieces, being resistant to weathering,\nare\n \n \n remnants\n \n \n of veins\nweather\n \n \n ed out of the bedrock and have\naccumulated\n \n \n near surface by this\naction\n \n \n .\n \n \n \n \n A program consisting of three trenches totaling\napproximately 90 line-meters is underway.  Each trench is being dug\nto at least 30 meters in length, 3 meters in width, and 2.6 meters\ndeep.  Although still near\n \n \n surface, this would\nallow the company to identify and evaluate grades at greater depth to\npotentially determine the source of the anomaly as compared to the\nshallow pits conducted in the past, which were limited to a depth of\n1.5 meters.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Click Image To View Full Size\n \n \n \n \n Sampling over a square meter\nincluding chips above will provide a representative analysis of what\nappears between 1.0 meter and 2.0 meter\n \n \n \n \n The follow-up trenching program, along with the ground\nmagnetics, will be of great help to refine drill targets in Wild Boar\nexpected to be drilled this year.  The trenching targets were placed\non the pre...
