The survey is centered south of the\nCompany’s Canada Wall porphyry copper target and is designed to\ndetect sulphide mineralization at depth - advancing one of Angkor’s\nmost compelling mineral targets toward a drill decision.\n\n\nTHE IP\nSURVEY\n\n\nThe survey employs a dipole-dipole IP\nconfiguration, a method that measures chargeability - the tendency of\ncertain minerals to briefly store and release an electrical charge\nwhen stimulated. Sulphide minerals, the primary host of copper, zinc,\nand related metals, exhibit strong chargeability responses that are\nreadily distinguishable from barren country rock. Along each of the\neight survey lines, the data will be processed into 2-D\ncross-sectional images of the subsurface, giving the exploration team\na picture of the distribution, depth, and geometry of any\nsulphide-bearing zones before a drill bit is turned. The total survey\ncovers 20 line-kilometres with 2,500-metre lines.\n\n\nDennis Ouellette, VP Exploration,\nstates: “The survey is centered over the Gossan Hills occurrence\nsouth of the Canada Wall porphyry copper target. I’m excited about\nthe potential results.”\n\n\nThe survey is expected to take\napproximately eight to ten days, weather permitting.\n\n\n\nClick Image To View Full Size\n\n\nFigure 1: (Left) Field crew mobilizing\nwith IP survey equipment, including cable reels and instrumentation.\n(Right) IP survey crew operating the transmitter-receiver station in\nthe field at Gossan Hills, Andong Meas.\n\n\nGOSSAN HILLS: TARGET\nGEOLOGY\n\n\nThe Gossan Hills consists of a\nnorthwest-trending sub-cropping of calcareous metasediments -\ncarbonate-bearing rocks that have been metamorphosed and are known to\nbe highly reactive to the mineralizing fluids associated with copper\nporphyr...
