[{"type":"text","content":"Angkor Resources Confirms Mussel Basin Target on Block VIII Oil & Gas License, Cambodia\n\n\n (TheNewswire)\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n GRANDE PRAIRIE, ALBERTA –\n \n\n TheNewswire -\n \n\n (Dec. 4, 2025): ANGKOR RESOURCES CORP.\n \n\n (TSXV: ANK) (“ANGKOR” OR\n“THE COMPANY”)\n \n\n announces Mussel Basin as a\nfourth target for exploratory drilling based on data processing of the\nseismic program.\n \n\n\n\n After identifying three significant closed anticline\nstructures in South Bokor, Central Bokor, and North Bokor on the west\nhalf of Block VIII, EnerCam’s team has received preliminary\nprocessed data on the northeast target of Mussel Basin.   The seismic\ndata supports our expectation that Mussel Basin is a rift fault\nbounded basin, probably of Cenozoic age (within the last 66 million\nyears).   As such, the basin is significantly different structurally\nthan the South, Central and North Bokor basins, and so are the\npotential prospect types.\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n Click Image To View Full Size\n \n\n\n\n\n Keith Edwards, Geophysicist for EnerCam,\ncomments on the Mussel Basin,\n \n\n\n\n “The advantage of the Mussel  Basin is two-fold:  First,\nthe drilling targets will be shallower.   Second, the reservoir\nporosity may be\n \n\n\n\n higher\nowed to less compaction.  We are reviewing the data for stratigraphic\ntraps, for example, reservoirs that pinches out against a sealing rock\nor porous channel sand encased in impermeable shale.”\n \n\n\n\n\n The Company anticipates a full seismic interpretation\nin December with drill targets prioritized. In the meantime,\nreprocessing of specific areas of data for removal of ‘noise’ for\nbetter resolution continues.   Cleaner data helps verify what the\nseismic data tells the team regarding the unconformities they see and\nmore clearly define targets for drilling.\n \n\n\n\n The company undertook a 350-line kilometre 2D seismic\nprogram over Block VIII, completing the program at the end of\nSeptember.   Processing and interpretation of the seismic data has\nbeen ongoing since then.   The initial data identified that clear,\nlarge four-way closures were evident on South Bokor and Central Bokor\nand all three sub-basin...
