[{"type":"text","content":"Angkor Resources Commences Trenching Program At CZ Gold Prospect, Ratanakiri Province, Cambodia \n(TheNewswire)\n\n\n                 \n\n\n  \n\n\nGRANDE PRAIRIE, ALBERTA (February 24,\n2026) – TheNewswire\n- ANGKOR RESOURCES CORP.\n(TSXV: ANK) (“ANGKOR” OR “THE COMPANY”) announces the completion of a trenching and\nsampling program at the CZ Gold Prospect in Ratanakiri Province,\nCambodia.\n\n\n \n\n\nAs previously announced (see ANGKOR RESOURCES ADVANCES EXPLORATION\nON CZ GOLD AND WILD BOAR PROSPECTS, ANDONG MEAS LICENSE,\nCAMBODIA), the Company’s mineral exploration team\ninitiated a large-scale trenching program at the CZ Gold Prospect,\nlocated on the west side of the Canada Wall prospect. The program is\ndesigned to determine the geology, structure and orientation of the\nquartz stockwork zone and its wall rocks, and to collect\nrepresentative samples for analysis.\n\n\n \n\n\nThe trenching program consisted of twelve trenches excavated across\nthe CZ Gold Prospect area. Each trench measured approximately five\nmeters in length, two meters in width, and five meters in depth. Due\nto the steep slope and required depth of the trenches, the Company\nmade the decision to utilize excavation equipment to safely and\nefficiently complete the program.\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\nClick Image To View Full Size\n\n\nFigure 1: The slope and depth of\nthe trenches contributed to the decision of using equipment for the\nexcavation program at the CZ Gold Prospect.\n\n\n \n\n\nThe excavation process involves digging each trench to\nthe target depth, at which point Angkor’s field team entered the\ntrench to collect samples directly from the exposed geology, including\nveining and stockwork visible in the trench walls. Once sampling was\ncomplete, the team exited the trench and all samples are marked,\nbagged, and prepared for testing and analysis on the surface.
