(TSXV: ANK)\n(\"ANGKOR\" OR \"THE COMPANY\") announces a collaborative program between its\nenergy subsidiary, EnerCam\nResources Cambodia Co. Ltd. (\"EnerCam\"), and graduate\nstudents at the Cambodian Institute of Technology (ITC). The program will provide\nhands-on geological and geophysical training tied directly\nto EnerCam's Block\nVIII oil and gas exploration program in Cambodia.\n\n\nThe program brings together\nAngkor's technical team and ITC students in a combination of\nfield-based geological\nwork and analytical seismic interpretation. Justin Snelling and Dr.\nDavid Johnson are leading\nstudents through geological field work, including structural and\nstratigraphic characterization of selected outcrop sites, rock\nsampling and laboratory analysis, and integrating that data into the\nevolving geologic framework.  In tandem, Keith Edwards, Geophysicist\nfor EnerCam, is guiding students through geophysical\nsoftware training and practical seismic\ninterpretation in a ‘real world’ environment.   \n\n\nAs the EnerCam team collects additional\ndata prior to drilling and while an Environmental Impact Assessment is\nbeing completed on the drill target areas, this program also supports\nEnerCam’s ESG and CSR commitment to mentor and develop a strong\nnational team of Khmer geoscientists. \n\n\n\nClick Image To View Full Size\n\n\n    Figure 1:  ITC and EnerCam\ngeoscientists undertaking field work on Block VIII.\n\n\nFIELD GEOLOGY\nPROGRAM:\n\n\nDr. Johnson identified three fundamental\nobjectives for the field program, each tied to advancing the\nCompany's understanding of Block VIII geology ahead of\nexploratory drilling. \n\n\nFirst, the students will collect\nstructural geological data at surface - mapping faults, fractures,\nfold orientations, and bedding attitudes - that will be directly\nuseful when interpreting subsurface structural data acquired during\ndrilling. EnerCam's seismic interpretation has identified large\nanticline structures in the Bokor subbasins, found i...
