[{"type":"text","content":"\n Sirdar PLC\n05 June 2007\n\nSirdar PLC ('Sirdar' or 'the Group')\n\n5 June 2007\n\nManagement changes\n\nIn the interim results released on 29 March 2007, Sirdar detailed plans to\namalgamate its two floor coverings activities into one operation and announced\nthat Gordon Donald, the current managing director of the Group's Burmatex\nbusiness, had been appointed as managing director of the Group's floor coverings\ndivision with effect from 1 July 2007.\n\nRegrettably, Mr. Donald has now decided to take up a position in another\nbusiness, outside the floor coverings sector, and will leave the Group on 31\nJuly 2007. In view of this, the Group intends to commence a formal recruitment\nprocess for this position as soon as possible.\n\nSteve Harrison, the Group's chief operating officer, will increase his time\ncommitment to the Group with effect from 1 August 2007 to enable him to act as\nmanaging director of the floor coverings division until the completion of the\nrecruitment process.\n\nIn addition to the above, Ian Stead, the Group's company secretary, will step\ndown from that position on 30 June 2007 to enable him to concentrate on his role\nas finance director of the Group's specialist yarns division.
