The poster outlines recent\nresults for this antibody which demonstrate that it is a potent therapeutic in\nbreast cancer models both in vivo and in vitro. The poster also highlights the\nprevalence of the epitope targeted by Arius' antibody in breast cancer\npatients.\n\n\nThe poster presentation is entitled "Development of a potent therapeutic\nmonoclonal antibody targeting CD44 in breast cancer" and will be presented at\nGeneral Poster Session D, 11:45-12:45 pm on Saturday, September 8th at the\nSan Francisco Marriott.\n\n\nAt the XIth European Meeting on Complement in Human Disease held in\nCardiff, Wales on September 8-11, Arius will report results demonstrating that\nits monoclonal antibody targeting CD59, a cell surface molecule involved in\nregulating cell lysis mediated by the complement system, is a potent\ntherapeutic in various in vivo cancer models. Arius has demonstrated that its\nantibody is highly potent at low doses and its efficacy in certain models\ncompares favorably to Taxotere.\n\n\nThe poster presentation is entitled "AR36A36.11.1, a monoclonal antibody\ntargeting CD59, enhances complement activity and exhibits potent in vivo\nefficacy in multiple human cancer models" and will be presented at Poster\nSession 1: Inflammatory diseases, therapeutics and diagnostics, 4:00-6:00 pm\non Sunday, September 9th at Cardiff City Hall, Cathay's Park.\n\n\nAbout ARIUS\n\n\nARIUS is a biotechnology company discovering and developing the next wave\nof antibody therapeutics. Established in 1999, ARIUS has built a proprietary\ntechnology platform, FunctionFIRST(TM), that rapidly identifies and selects\nantibodies based on their functional ability to affect disease. This antibody\ngeneration engine has enabled ARIUS to assemble a portfolio of more than 400\nantibody candidates. ...
