Standard & Poor's Announces Changes in the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index

TORONTO, Dec. 13 /CNW/ - Standard & Poor's will make the following
changes in the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index after the close of trading on
Tuesday, December 13, 2005:

- Erdene Gold Inc. (TSXVN:ERD) will be removed from the index. The
company will graduate to the TSX to trade under the same ticker
   symbol.
- BPI Industries Inc. (TSXVN:BPR) will be removed from the index. The
company is being delisted from the TSX Venture Exchange but it will
continue to be listed on AMEX under the name BPI Energy Inc. and under
   the ticker symbol BPG.

Company additions to and deletions from an S&P equity index do not in any
way reflect an opinion on the investment merits of the company.
