TNPH To Invest In Health Products Business

TNPH is pleased to announce that it has agreed to acquire a 75% stake in Chinese health products business Guangxi Guizu Sugar Industry Co., Ltd (“GSI”)

GSI sells a range of health products derived from monk fruit, under the Night Cat brand. GSI has partnered with companies that use advanced extraction technology to produce health and wellness products based on monk fruit (luohanguo), including raw sugar, probiotic drinks and health beverages.

GSI was founded in June 2023. Mr Ping Shun Ngan, director of TNPH’s Hong Kong subsidiary Jiudu International Group Ltd, is co-founder and President of GSI, and will be responsible for growing the business.

The investment will be made through TNPH’s 75% owned subsidiary, Jiudu (Hainan) Health Industry Group Co., Ltd.  Completion of the acquisition is subject to the filing of documents and approvals in China, which we hope will be received before quarter end.

Monk fruit is a natural sweetener, increasingly being used in a range of products to replace sugar, especially in food and drink products designed for those suffering from diabetes. It has also been used for thousands of years in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) as a natural remedy to strengthen the lungs and immune system.
