Description
Join us for an informative and interactive session on Carbonate Replacement Deposits (CRDs), featuring presentations by a panel of explorers involved in various stages of CRD discovery, and an introduction by world-renowned silver
and CRD expert, Dr. Peter Megaw.
Why should investors care about CRDs?
CRDs are essential to modern civilization due to their high-grade, economically significant reserves, ranging from 10 to 150 million tons. Their low mining costs and environmentally friendly extraction methods make them increasingly vital today. CRDs facilitate selective, high-grade underground mining, minimizing environmental impact. As industries demand more of these deposits for technological advancements, CRDs emerge as crucial sources of materials like copper and zinc, bolstering economic growth.

Dr. Peter Megaw
CRD-Silver Expert at IMDEX, Inc.

Dr. Peter Megaw, C.P.G., has a Ph.D. in geology from the University of Arizona and more than 40 years of relevant experience focused on silver and gold exploration in Mexico. He is a certified Professional Geologist by the American Institute of Professional Geologists and an Arizona Registered Geologist. Dr. Megaw has been instrumental in a number of mineral discoveries in Mexico including new ore bodies at existing mines, Excellon Resources’ Platosa Mine, and MAG Silver’s Juanicipio and Cinco de Mayo properties; discoveries for which he was given PDAC’s 2016 Thayer Lindsley Award. Peter is the author of numerous scientific publications on ore deposits and is a frequent speaker at academic and international exploration and mineralogical conferences.

Dr. Lex Lambeck
VP Exploration at MAG Silver

Dr. Lex Lambeck, C.P.G., has a Ph.D. in geology from Adelaide University, Australia and more than 25 years of relevant experience focused on gold, silver and base metal exploration in Australia, Mexico and Canada. He is a certified Professional Geologist by the American Institute of Professional Geologists. Dr. Lambeck’s leadership has been instrumental in the application of the “Hub and Spoke” thesis at Deer Trail and the Carissa discovery. His expertise in generative exploration in district-scale settings is valuable for overseeing the Company’s portfolio of exploration properties, including the Larder Project in the Abitibi and Juanicipio, Mexico.

Ross Easterbrook
Exploration Manager at Coeur Mining, Inc.

Mr. Easterbrook is a professional geoscientist with EGBC and has over 15 years of geological experience in polymetallic sulphide systems across Canada. Ross has held both production mining and exploration roles in Ni-Cu-PGE ultramafic hosted deposits, volcanogenic massive sulfide deposits, and carbonate replacement deposits. For more than 8 years Ross has worked at Silvertip, a manto-chimney Ag-Pb-Zn carbonate replacement deposit where he is currently employed as the Exploration Manager.

Lauren Megaw
Head of Investor Relations at Reyna Silver

Lauren Megaw is head of Investor Relations for Reyna Silver. She focuses on approachable communication of technical information to investors. She grew up collecting and studying mineral specimens, which led to her studying Geology at Stanford. Prior to joining Reyna Silver, she surveyed historic mining districts in Humana Province, China, from a Carbonate Replacement Deposit (CRD) Continuum perspective. She now works alongside the technical team on the Guigui and Batopilas projects in Chihuahua, Mexico, and the Gryphon and Medicine Springs project in Nevada.

Sage Langston-Stewart
Project Geologist at Western Alaska Minerals Corp.

Ms. Langston-Stewart, has a M.Sc. in Geology and a B.Sc. in Geology and Geological Engineering from Colorado School of Mines. Sage completed her master’s thesis at the Caribou-Cross Mine in Nederland, Colorado. Here she conducted core logging, underground mapping, surface mapping, data management, and geological modeling. Sage has been working with WAM for the last 4 summers and transitioned to full-time in 2022. Sage started on the project as a soil sampler and core logger. With the geologic team at WAM, Sage lead the drill hole targeting for the 2022 and 2023 drilling seasons and now she continues to work on the geologic interpretation, geologic modeling, training and management of the core processing team, conducts geologic studies, and continues to expand the geologic understanding at Waterpump Creek.
