[{"type":"text","content":"Zonte Metals discovers large copper-in-soil anomaly at the K9 target.\n \n \n (TheNewswire)\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n April 2 2024 – TheNewswire - Zonte Metals (TSXV:ZON)\n(XOTC:EREPF)\n \n \n \n \n Zonte Metals is pleased to announce the discovery of a\nlarge copper-in-soil anomaly at the K9 target, on its Cross Hills\nCopper Project in Newfoundland and Labrador.\n \n \n \n \n Highlights\n \n \n :\n \n \n \n \n \n \n Cu-in-soil anomaly measures 1500m in length and up to\n1100m in width\n \n \n \n \n \n \n Soil anomaly is coincident with magnetic and gravity\nanomalies, and\n \n \n \n \n \n \n recent prospecting has discovered several new copper\nshowings within the soil target.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n The K9 target is defined by coincident magnetic and\ngravity anomalies sitting in a structural zone. Previous exploration\ndiscovered grades up to 1.76% Cu and 12 g/t Ag with trace gold in\noutcrop\n \n \n . A previously partially defined soil\nanomaly was also discovered at the K9 target, wherein many of the soil\nsamples were amongst the highest through the project (see April 12,\n2021 and September 20, 2021 press releases).\n \n \n \n \n The expanded soil sampling program has identified a\ncopper-in-soil anomaly measuring 1500m in length and up to 1100m in\nwidth and sits on top of the coincident magnetic and gravity\nanomalies. The newly discovered soil anomaly extends beyond the limits\nof the open-ended gravity anomaly to the south, where it is coincident\nwith the magnetic trend. Recent prospecting within the soil anomaly\nhas identified a mix of sulphides including chalcopyrite in several\nnew locations (see Fig 1 below). The copper mineral type appears to\nshow a gradation from chalcocite and bornite, with pyrite, in the\ncentral portions of the target to chalcopyrite and pyrite at the\nends.\n \n \n \n \n Additional exploration, including expanding the gravity\ngrid and additional mapping and prospecting, is required on the\nsouthern sector of the soil anomaly.
