[{"type":"text","content":"\n\nZinc Media Group plc\n \n(\"Zinc\" or the \"Group\")\n \nTwo multimillion-pound commissions for Zinc Media labels & BAFTA Award\n \n \nZinc Media Group plc (AIM: ZIN), the award-winning television, brand and audio production group, announces the commissioning of two new seven-figure commissions and a BAFTA award for factual entertainment for its Rob and Rylan's Grand Tour series.\n \nNew Commissions\n \nOne of the commissions, a documentary series set to air on BBC and CNN, Live Aid at 40, is being produced by Zinc's Brook Lapping label, in association with Ronachan Films. It will delve into the complex stories behind the historic event and its legacy. The series will feature exclusive interviews with iconic figures such as Bob Geldof, Bono, Sting and Midge Ure, chronicling how they mobilised billions worldwide: first to answer a famine in Ethiopia, and later inspiring global leaders like George Bush and Tony Blair to begin to address the true causes of poverty in Africa.\n \nBrook Lapping is also creating a remastered version of the original 1985 Live Aid Concert footage for rebroadcast on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer, commemorating four decades since this pivotal moment in music history.\n \nThe other commission, a six-part travelogue The Square Route with Hannah Fry (working title), for National Geographic and Bloomberg is being produced by Zinc's Atomic Television, in conjunction with Ancestry. It will follow mathematician and presenter, Hannah Fry, across six countries to discover how the forces of geography, climate, history and culture make countries and their people so unique and distinctive.\n \nBoth commissions are due to start production in 2025 with all revenue expected to be booked in FY25. Revenue from these productions is already included in FY25 forecasts.\n \nBAFTA Award\n \nAt the BAFTA television awards ceremony, held on Sunday 11 May 2025, Rob and Rylan's Grand Tour, produced by Zinc's Rex Production label, was awarded a BAFTA for factual entertainment.
