[{"type":"text","content":"\n Ten Alps PLC\n22 January 2007\n\n Ten Alps Plc - Events update\n\nTen Alps Plc ('Ten Alps' or 'the Company') reports growth in its events\noperations and their integration with the group's online internet video\nactivities.\n\nSales since October 2006 have been strong in both delegate registrations and\nsponsorships for the 12 conferences created by Ten Alps for 2007 calendar year.\nThese annually repeatable events include conferences focussed on topics such as\nIntegrated Transport, Public Sector Project Management and Urban Regeneration.\n\nTen Alps considers sales from these first events to confirm potential within the\n46,000-strong advertiser base for events growth.\n\nThe events development and sales teams are being expanded within Ten Alps'\nManchester office and extra conferences are now being added for the 2007-8\nfinancial year. Events will be based around analysis of niches across 350 trade\ntitles which Ten Alps already publishes.\n\nIn addition events production work commissioned by commercial clients has grown,\nwith work for BP, Corus, Metro, Dr Marten's, EMI and others delivered since\nOctober 2006.\n\nThe Company has also opened a small events unit in Amman, Jordan, aiming at\npromising leads in a possibly under-exploited Middle Eastern corporate market,\nwith costs easily covered within current budgets. Ten Alps already sells\nadvertising across a number of titles and websites targeting this region, such\nas its 'Trading Guide To Near and Middle East' and its 'Gulf Spotlight' product.\n\nTen Alps sees further potential for growth, visibility and synergy in events.\nThey exploit existing TV programming and publishing niches, give advertisers\ndirect client contact, generate online content and advertising opportunities and\nas a result open up potential additional revenue streams for Ten Alps.\n\nMeanwhile Ten Alps' conferences, and some run outside the group, are being\nfilmed for the database of available material on Ten Alps' beta-version Public\nTV website.\n\nData-based clips can be viewed at www.public.tv in the conferences section. Ten\nAlps intends to sell sponsorship opportunities around the content, adding\neditorial and commercial longevity to the specialised conferences created.\nProgress in the group's growing online activities will be separately updated\nthis month.\n\n\nPaul McManus\nParkgreen C...
