[{"type":"text","content":"\n RNS Number : 5764L Ten Alps PLC 10 May 2010 \n \n\nTen Alps Plc\n \n10 May 2010\n \nAcquisition consolidation and new contract win - Ten Alps consolidates Singapore acquisitions and wins new BBC World News TV contract for Asia\n \nMultimedia producer Ten Alps Plc (\"Ten Alps\") has developed its business in Singapore, by consolidating online and publishing operations, and signing a new TV contract for Asian markets with BBC World News and BBC.com to cover advertiser-funded programming.\n \nMerger of acquired businesses in print and online\n \nTen Alps Communications Asia (\"TACA\") has merged the business publications acquired from Reed Business Information Asia with the online search marketing business acquired from Interface Media. Both were acquired in January 2010.\n \nFrom a single Singapore hub, the aim is to acquire, build and grow the business across the Asia region. (For the new address, see below.) A satellite office is also set to open in China by the end of May 2010.\n \nRaymond Wong, Chief Executive of TACA said: \"We are targeting key trade sectors which we know have pan-Asian appeal. It's clear that the Asian B2B media markets are underserved and offer attractive growth and consolidation opportunities.\"\n \nNew BBC TV contract from Singapore\n \nBBC World News has appointed Ten Alps Asia TV as its editorial creative agent for TV programme production across television and online, for BBC World News and BBC.com, for Asia and South-East Asia. \n \nTen Alps Asia TV will work closely with BBC World News to provide research and creative briefs for advertiser-funded programming - following success of the recent series 'The Projectors,' (sponsored by Lexus) and 'The Year Book ' (sponsored by Chivas), both produced by Ten Alps Asia TV. \n \nPaul Gibbs, Head of Programming for BBC World News said today: \n \n'South-East Asia is becoming increasingly important to us. We have a strong audience in the region, and now we want more content produced from there. Sarah Macdonald, at Ten Alps Asia TV, will work closely with the BBC World News team, and other independent production houses wanting to work with BBC World News.
