[{"type":"text","content":"\n Vane Minerals PLC\n12 December 2006\n\n\n\n12th December 2006\n\n\n\n VANE Minerals Plc (AIM: VML)\n\n\n\n Further Drilling Permits Granted for Uranium Exploration\n\n\n\n\n\nVANE Minerals Plc today announces that its uranium subsidiary VANE Minerals (US)\nLLC ('VANE (US)' or 'the Company') has been granted further drilling permits for\nthe Big Red Pipe and the Rabbit target in the breccia pipe district of northern\nArizona.\n\n\n\nThe permits were granted further to proposals submitted by the Company in early\nDecember, as announced on the 4th of December.\n\n\n\nVANE (US) is continuing with the drilling permitting process on its additional\nbreccia pipe targets and the Company anticipates that it will commence its first\nround of drilling as part of its uranium exploration programme the week\ncommencing 18th December on the Red Dike and Miller pipes.\n\n\n\nVANE plans to commence drilling on the Big Red Pipe and Rabbit targets on\ncompletion of the planned round at Miller and Red Dike.\n\n\n\nMichael Spriggs, Chairman of VANE, commented, 'As promised to shareholders, we\nhave continued to accelerate the development of our uranium portfolio and we are\nexcited that drilling is scheduled to commence on our first projects next week.\n'\n\n\n\nKristopher K.
