(Nasdaq: ZNTL), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on discovering and developing small molecule therapeutics targeting fundamental biological pathways of cancers, today announced the appointment of Andrea Paul, J.D., as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, effective August 1, 2022. Ms. Paul brings several years of legal leadership experience in the healthcare industry to Zentalis. “I am delighted to welcome Andrea to our team. Prior to Zentalis, Ms. Paul has served as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at LogicBio Therapeutics, Inc., where she has led the company’s legal team as a key strategic legal partner in finance, business development and contractual decision-making matters. Previously, she held positions of increasing responsibility at Akebia Therapeutics, Inc., culminating in the role of Vice President, Legal. While at Akebia, Ms. Paul was a key strategic legal partner in the company's merger with Keryx Biopharmaceuticals, Inc. as well as in the company's financing and business development transactions. Prior to Akebia, she served as Senior Corporate Counsel at Momenta Pharmaceuticals, Inc. She began her legal career working as an associate at Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C. and Sullivan and Cromwell LLP. Ms. Paul currently chairs the Securities Law Committee of the Boston Bar Association.
