It is the reason why the temperature in uninsulated structures such as shipping containers and modular buildings can rise considerably when exposed to prolonged sunshine and hot external temperatures.\n \n \n  \n \n \n The test, which was carried out in laboratory conditions, found that:\n \n \n  \n \n \n ·  \n A 1.33mm coating of Zenova IP thermal insulation paint reduced the rise in ambient air temperature on the opposite side of a steel sheet by 54% compared to an untreated control sample\n \n \n ·  \n A 5mm coating of Zenova IR thermal insulation render reduced the rise in ambient air temperature on the opposite side of a steel sheet by 55%, compared to an untreated control sample\n \n \n  \n \n \n The following is a summary of Intertek's finding:\n \n \n  \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Maximum Temperature Reached On Untreated Side\n \n \n \n \n Temperature Rise Above Ambient Temperature\n \n \n \n \n Reduction in °C Temperature Rise Above Ambient Temperature Compared To Control Sample\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n °F\n \n \n \n \n °C\n \n \n \n \n °F\n \n \n \n \n °C\n \n \n \n \n %\n \n \n \n \n \n \n 0.048\" Steel with 5 mm IR Coating\n \n \n \n \n 122.9\n \n \n \n \n 50.5\n \n \n \n \n 54.9\n \n \n \n \n 12.7\n \n \n...
