He is the Senior Vice President,\n \n Mexico\n \n , Alamos Gold and has served in that capacity since 2015, when he held a similar position with\n \n AuRico Gold\n \n since 2007.\n \n \n Previously, Dr. Chavez served as Energy and Mines Director, Coahuila State from 2001 to 2006, and was also General Director of the Mexican Geological Survey from 1994 to 2000.
