Yangarra Appoints Vice President, Land

CALGARY, Oct. 18, 2011 /CNW/ - Yangarra Resources Ltd. ("Yangarra" or "the Company") (TSXV: "YGR") is pleased to announce the appointment of Randall Faminow, as Vice President, Land.

Mr. Faminow brings 30 years of experience in all aspects of oil and gas land work, including negotiation, acquisitions and divestments, contracts and mergers. Most recently, Mr. Faminow held the position of Vice President, Land for Spry Energy Ltd. Prior to that Randall was Vice President, Land at Great Plains Exploration Inc, Energy Explorer Inc, Rider Resources Inc. and Ascot Energy Resources Ltd.  Mr. Faminow is an active member of the Canadian Association of Petroleum Landmen.

Randall will be a key member of Yangarra's executive team and will be responsible for identifying and executing on land opportunities to strengthen Yangarra's asset base.

Yangarra has granted Mr. Faminow options to purchase 450,000 common shares at an exercise price of $0.64 (Cdn funds) per share, pursuant to its stock option plan.  All the options vest immediately and will expire on October 18, 2016.
