Yangarra Appoints New Director

Pettie Q.C. to its Board of\n Directors. \n\n\nMr. Pettie currently is a senior partner at Burnet, Duckworth & Palmer\n LLP (\"BD&P\") with over 35 years of experience focused on the oil and\n natural gas industry. He received his Bachelor of Laws from the\n University of Alberta in 1977 and has practiced law continuously since\n that time with BD&P.\n\n\nMr. Pettie has extensive background with mergers, acquisitions,\n divestitures and other energy related transactions, capital markets and\n project finance. He has served as a director of public and private oil\n and gas companies including Berkley Petroleum Corp. and Duvernay Oil\n Corp. and is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors.\n\n\nYangarra also announces it has granted officers and directors options to\n purchase 500,000 common shares at an exercise price of $0.35 per share,\n pursuant to its stock option plan.
