YANGAROO's DMDS Protects the Environment

Patented DMDS Eliminates Waste and Greenhouse Gases Caused by Delivery of

CD's

TORONTO, Oct. 11 /CNW/ - YANGAROO, Inc., (TSX-V: YOO, OTCBB: YOOIF) the industry's leading secure digital media distribution company, today announced that its patented Digital Media Distribution System (DMDS), currently being used by every major record label, and a growing number of independent labels and advertisers in North America, protects the environment by eliminating the waste created by CD's and the greenhouse gas emissions caused by the delivery of those CD's.

DMDS delivers broadcast quality audio files securely over the Internet, replacing the physical distribution of music and advertising on CD's to radio stations and many other destinations, thereby significantly reducing the need for CD's. This process saves time, money and prevents pre-release leaks, while saving the environment from the hazardous materials that are used to create CD packages, and the pollution caused by the planes, trains and trucks used for their delivery.

Compact Discs are made from many non-renewable materials -- polycarbonate, lacquer, dyes and various metals including aluminum, gold, silver and titanium. With 200 billion of them, they have become a serious environmental problem. Once the CD is manufactured, it is packaged in a plastic "jewel case", bubble wrapped, and shipped many miles, burning non-renewable fossil fuel resources, polluting the environment and contributing to global warming.

Although an individual may keep a CD for 20 years, according to the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), compact discs have a four year lifespan and a 2 percent damage rate during the recording process. About 1 billion compact discs weighing almost 20,000 tons are discarded annually in North America, and they do not break down. This conservative estimate excludes discs with defects discarded by the manufacturing sector.

"The music industry, artists and advertisers are among the most environmentally aware people on the earth; it's ironic that as a group they had been unwittingly contributing to this serious global problem," said Cliff Hunt, Chairman and COO of YANGAROO, "By using DMDS, record labels, artists and advertisers can now participate in helping the planet and have their music distributed in a more efficient and effective manner. That's the kind of win-win situation that's good for everybody!"
