The\ndigital process helped to reduce both costs and waste from packaging and\nshipping materials across the country.\n\n\nWith DMDS 5.0, jury and Academy members accessed the music by either\ndownloading it to burn on a CD or uploading it to an iPod. All promotional\nmaterials that were submitted with the music were also digitally accessible.\nVotes were then cast online in the specific category or categories that\napplied and DMDS 5.0 provided CARAS with detailed reports of the entire\nprocess.\n\n\n"YANGAROO is an excellent partner that took the time to understand CARAS'\ncommitment to sustainability, and customized a solution to meet our needs and\nexceeded our expectations. We look forward to growing with DMDS over the\ncourse of our three-year partnership," said Brenna Knought, Manager, Awards &\nSpecial Events.\n\n\n"Once again, the Canadian Music Industry leads the way," said Cliff Hunt,\nChairman and COO of YANGAROO Inc. "This digital delivery process made possible\nby DMDS 5.0 proved to be faster, more efficient, less expensive, and helped\nprotect the environment. With its successful completion, we hope to engage\nother organizations in similar deals."\n\n\nThe initial phase of voting for The 2009 JUNO Awards was completed on\nFebruary 3 with the announcement of the JUNO nominees and the final voting was\ncompleted on March 2.
