[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\nBroadcast Data Systems to offer DMDSDirect link to thousands of recording\n\n\nartists for distribution to radio\n\n\nTORONTO, June 18 /CNW/ - YANGAROO Inc., (TSX-V: YOO, OTCBB: YOOIF) the\nindustry's leading secure digital media distribution company, has entered into\nan agreement to expand its partnership with Nielsen Broadcast Data Systems\n(BDS). Under the agreement, artists and labels that electronically send their\nmusic to Nielsen BDS for encoding via their Virtual Encode process, will now\nhave the option to use YANGAROO's newly launched digital media distribution\nservice, DMDSDirect, to send their music digitally to hundreds of radio\nstations and other media contacts throughout the United States and Canada.\n\n\nEvery year, over 50,000 songs are submitted with Virtual Encode into the\nNielsen BDS database allowing their airplay to be tracked at BDS monitored\nradio stations. Once these songs are in the Nielsen BDS system, artists and\nrecord label personnel will have the option to link directly to DMDS and send\nthe music to DJs, radio station programmers, and other media contacts via\nDMDSDirect.\n\n\nUsers who select the DMDSDirect option are then able to upload their\nmusic, add marketing and promotional information, choose a package of key\nradio stations in a given radio format or genre, pay by credit card, and have\nit distributed digitally and securely.\n\n\n"When we launched DMDSDirect at the beginning of this year, our goal was\nto provide independent artists with the same promotional tools available to\nlarge record labels," said Jon Klein, VP Business Development, YANGAROO Inc.\n"Our partnership with Nielsen BDS allows us to further fulfill this original\nintention by expanding our reach to its users."\n\n\nAbout Nielsen BDS:\n\n\nNielsen Broadcast Data Systems is the world's leading provider of airplay\ntracking for the entertainment industry.
