Exxel Energy Corp. Announces New Appointment to the Board of Directors

VANCOUVER, Sept. 19 /CNW Telbec/ - Exxel Energy Corp. (the "Company")
(TSX-V: EXX) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Gordon Nielsen to
the Board of Directors. Mr. Nielsen has 17 years of experience in the
investment industry, most recently and formerly as an investment advisor with
Canaccord Capital Corp. Mr. Nielsen holds Bachelor of Science degrees in
Geology and Chemistry from the University of Saskatchewan. Mr. Nielsen is also
President, CEO and Director of Gemini Energy Corp.
The Company also announces that it has granted stock options to acquire
100,000 shares at $6.60 per share, exercisable for a period of five years from
the date of grant. The stock options grant will be subject to the Company's
stock option plan and to regulatory approval.
