(\"Elko\" or the \"Corporation\") is pleased to provide an update on the Annual and Special Meeting of Shareholders that was held Wednesday, August 3rd in Toronto. All resolutions put forward to shareholders were passed with a significant majority as follows:\n \n\nItem 1: Election of Directors - The five nominees set forth in the Corporation's Management Information Circular dated July 7, 2011 were elected as directors of the Corporation by a majority vote on a show of hands.\n \n Votes For 71,588,660\n Votes Withheld 6,504,000\n\n \n\nItem 2: Appointment of Auditors - Deloitte LLP was appointed as the auditor of the Corporation and the directors were authorized to fix the remuneration of the auditor by a majority vote on a show of hands.\n \n Votes For 74,092,660\n Votes Withheld 4,000,000\n\n \n\nItem 3: Approval of Plan of Arrangement involving Elko, Xtract Energy plc (\"Xtract\") and Xtract International Limited - The special r...
