[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\n\n\nTORONTO, May 7, 2013 /CNW/ - Patagonia Gold Plc (AIM: PGD, TSX: PAT) (\"Patagonia Gold\" or \"the Company\") today is pleased to provide a\n progress update for its Lomada de Leiva, Cap-Oeste/COSE and La\n Manchuria projects in Santa Cruz province, Argentina.\n\n\nLomada de Leiva\n\n\n\nPreparation works for the 200,000 tonne expansion of the existing trial\n heap leach pad were completed in late March 2013 with loading of\n mineralised material, irrigation and production of gold in progress.\n\n\nConstruction of the first stage of the main heap leach pad remains on\n schedule for completion in late Q2 2013. The PVC membrane lining of the\n drainage dam and buttress sections is now in place with pipework\n installation underway.\n\n\nPatagonia Gold's mining fleet has been delivered to site and\n commissioned. Operator training and demobilisation of rented gear is\n underway, with all contractor equipment scheduled to be offsite by the\n end of May 2013.\n\n\n\nCap-Oeste/COSE\n\n\n\nDrilling in the structural corridor between the Cap-Oeste and COSE\n deposits continues to intersect wide zones of gold-silver\n mineralisation with drill-hole CSE-091 intersecting 66.6 metres at 2.04\n grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 36.18 g/t silver.\n\n\nCOSE resource update to include the newly identified mineralisation\n scheduled to commence in early Q3 2013 with completion in early Q4\n 2013.\n\n\nPre-feasibility study on the Cap-Oeste deposit is set to commence in May\n 2013, led by Newfields Inc. of Reno, Nevada. \n\n\n\nLa Manchuria\n\n\n\nDrilling has recommenced at La Manchuria, with 4,000 metres of extension\n and exploration drilling scheduled for completion in Q2 2013.\n\n\nThe La Manchuria deposit is currently being re-evaluated as a potential\n bulk tonnage heap leach target that will incorporate mineralisation not\n previously included in the model.\n\n\n\n\"With the Lomada project funded to completion and set to provide free\n cash flow in the second half of 2013, Patagonia Gold can now focus on\n expanding its significant resource base of 1.88 million ounces of gold\n equivalent, concentrating on the highly prospective, high grade\n Cap-Oeste/COSE and La Manchuria deposits,\" said Bill Humphries, CEO of\n Patagonia Gold.\n\n\nPhotographs of the progress at Lomada and Cap-Oeste will be posted on\n the Company's website, w...
