Xtra-Gold Learns of Litigation and Denies Allegation

Toronto, Ontario--(Newsfile Corp. - July 24, 2015) - XTRA-GOLD RESOURCES CORP. (TSX: XTG) (OTCQB: XTGRF) ("Xtra-Gold" or the "Company") reports that it is aware that a news release has been issued by Buccaneer Gold Corp. (TSXV: BGG) of an action that it reports it filed in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice against Xtra-Gold and Mark McGinnis. In the action, Buccaneer claims against the defendants damages for breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty and for an accounting of profits from the sale of alluvial gold recovered from the Banso and Muoso Mining Leases in Ghana. Buccaneer seeks damages in the amount of $5,000,000 plus further amounts and costs to be determined at trial. Xtra-Gold strongly believes the claims are without merit and intends on defending against this frivolous lawsuit vigorously.
