As required by the permit, the underground mine design will include drawings, calculations, specifications and descriptions of the geometry of all existing and proposed excavations, the geologic, hydrogeologic and geotechnical conditions affecting the mine, and excavation design and ground support design. Engineered designs are required to be submitted to the Ministry of Energy and Critical Minerals on commencement of operations. In addition to the excavation designs, closure plans for the new Venango, 257 and 275 portals and associated detailed cost estimates are also required and have already been submitted to the Ministry of Energy and Critical MineralsThis design work is another step forward for the Kenville mine project as the Company advances toward construction of the new underground decline. The new decline will provide access to multiple gold-bearing quartz veins that were intersected in surface drill holes west and south of the historic Kenville gold mine.
