[{"type":"text","content":"\n \n \n \n RNS Number : 0327H\n Wizz Air Holdings PLC\n 04 April 2022\n \n \n \n \n MARCH 2022 TRAFFIC AND CO2 EMISSION STATISTICS\n \n \n \n \n \n WIZZ AIR CARRIED 2.48 MILLION PASSENGERS, AN INCREASE OF 416% YEAR-ON-YEAR \n \n \n \n \n \n Ticker: WIZZ\n \n \n \n \n \n \n Geneva, 4 April 2022:\n \n Wizz Air Holdings Plc (\"Wizz Air\"), \n the fastest-growing\n and most sustainable\n European airline\n , today announces passenger and CO2 emission statistics for March 2022.\n \n \n \n \n \n In \n March\n 2022, Wizz Air carried 2,476,105 passengers, representing a 416% increase compared to March 2021, at a load factor of 86.2%. \n \n \n \n \n \n Wizz Air continued to grow its network and improve its customer offering in March, including:\n \n \n \n \n \n ·\n Wizz Air \n announced it will support Ukrainian refugees by offering them 100,000 free seats on all continental Europe flights departing from Ukraine's border countries (Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania)\n . Since then, the offer has been extended from the end of March until 10th April 2022.\n \n \n · \n Wizz Air announced that it will continue the expansion of its operations in Romania, adding a new aircraft to its base in Bucharest\n (#12) and one aircraft to its base in Cluj-Napoca (#7). Two Airbus A321 aircraft will join the respective bases from July and August of this year. Further to this, Wizz Air announced the addition of one more Airbus A321 aircraft (#9) to its base in Tirana, Albania, also from this summer.\n \n \n ·\n Wizz Air announced new routes across its network originating from Italy, United Kingdom and United Arab Emirates. New routes offer passengers exciting destinations ranging from Greece, Italy, Spain, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Montenegro, Israel to Sri Lanka.\n \n \n ·\n Wizz Air continuously operates amongst the lowest CO2 emissions per passenger/km amongst all competitor airlines, with 62.5 grams per passenger/km for the rolling 12 months to 31 March 2022, 0.4 grams per passenger/km better than the glidepath Wizz Air disclosed in its F21 Annual Report (p.28).
