[{"type":"text","content":"\n \n \n \n \n \n \n  \n \n \n \n \n AUGUST 2022 TRAFFIC AND CO2 EMISSION STATISTICS\n \n \n \n \n  \n \n \n \n \n WIZZ AIR CARRIED 5 MILLION PASSENGERS, AN INCREASE OF 39% YEAR-ON-YEAR\n \n \n \n \n  \n \n \n \n \n Ticker:  WIZZ\n \n \n \n \n  \n \n \n \n \n Geneva, 1 September 2022:\n \n Wizz Air Holdings Plc (\"Wizz Air\"),\n the fastest-growing\n and one of the most sustainable\n European airline\n s\n , today announces passenger and CO2 emission statistics for August 2022.\n \n \n  \n \n \n In\n August\n 2022, Wizz Air carried 4,960,116 passengers, representing a 38.5% increase compared to August 2021, at a load factor of 90.5%.\n \n \n  \n \n \n Wizz Air continued to grow its network and improve its customer offering in August, including:\n \n \n  \n \n \n ·\n Wizz Air announced the launch of 20 new routes from Bucharest, Budapest, Catania, Larnaca, Milan, Naples, Rome, Sofia, Tirana, Venice and Vienna to Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The airline introduces a new era of extended travel opportunities at ultra-low fares between Europe and the Kingdom to strengthen Saudi Arabia's global connectivity.\n \n \n ·\n Additionally, Wizz Air relaunched the operation of several routes from it's bases in Hungary, Italy, Romania, Poland, Bulgaria, Austria, Albania, Moldova and London Luton. The restarting routes will be available starting from autumn 2022 to serve the best interest of the customers travelling across Europe with the airline.\n \n \n ·\n Wizz Air continuously operates amongst the lowest CO2 emissions per passenger/km amongst all competitor airlines, with 57.7 grams per passenger/km for the rolling 12 months to 31 August 2022.
