[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\nTSX-V Trading Symbol: HRC Tel.: +1 604 638 8005\nE-mail: [email protected] Website: www.helioresource.com\n\n\nVANCOUVER, May 14 /CNW/ - Helio Resource Corp. ("Helio" or the "Company")\n(TSX-V: HRC) is pleased to announce the delineation of a major new\ngold-in-soil anomaly at the SMP Gold Project, Lupa Goldfields, SW Tanzania.\nThe Dubwana Target is located approximately 2km to the north of the Porcupine\nTarget where Helio has just resumed drilling (Press release dated 12 May\n2009).\n\n\nHelio conducted soil sampling on a 250m x 250m offset grid, taking over\n850 samples covering the whole of the Gap licence portion of the SMP project\narea. The work resulted in the identification of a large soil anomaly, called\nDubwana. The anomaly has dimensions in excess of 5.5km long x 1.3km wide,\ncompared to approximately 4.5km long x 750m wide in the Porcupine-Gap soil\nanomaly.\n\n\nGeological mapping and rock grab sampling has confirmed that the host\nrocks and style of mineralisation at the Dubwana anomaly are similar to those\nat Porcupine. Gold assays from grab samples taken from outcrop within the\nDubwana Target range from 0.1g/t Au to 27.4g/t for mineralised quartz veins\nand up to 2.78g/t for sheared wallrock.\n\n\nA compilation map showing the geochemical soil anomaly is presented in the\nlink below:\n\n- Compilation map:\n http://www.helioresource.com/i/pdf/2009-05-14_NRM1.pdf\n\nThe company is very excited about the new discovery and intends to drill\nthis new target during 2009.\n\nABOUT THE SMP GOLD PROJECT\n--------------------------\n\n\nHelio, through its 100% owned subsidiary BAFEX Tanzania Ltd., can earn a\n100% interest in five contiguous licences, which cover a 35km strike length of\nthe Saza Shear Zone. The project covers the New Saza Gold Mine, which was the\nsecond largest gold producer, behind the Geita Mine, in pre-Independence era\nTanzania.\n\n\nSince June 2006, the Company has drill-tested eleven targets, nine of\nwhich are hosted by the Saza Shear Zone. All eleven targets have intersected\nbedrock-hosted gold mineralisation, the most advanced being the Kenge and\nPorcupine Targets. At Kenge drilling has returned up to 22.0m grading 6.9g/t\ngold in the Main Zone and 48.7m grading 2.1g/t Au from the Mbenge Zone (see\nthe Corporate Presentation on the Home Page of the Comp...
